Digital Portraits

In art, we have been learning about correct shape, proportion and placement of facial features so our sketches look more realistic. The children's final sketches are far different from the ones they completed before learning about this!
Progressing on to self-portraits and techniques with paint, we have now finished the wonderful pieces of art which the children have worked extremely hard on. Before painting, the paper has a white wash image of each child printed on it which has allowed them to focus more on working with brushes and paint. Bethlehem Idol Contestants

Congratulations to all of the children from Room 11 who entered this year's Bethlehem Idol competition. A special congratulations to the dance group who made the finals and performed at the school gala on the weekend. We were all very proud of you and thoroughly enjoyed your lively performance. Karaoke

Congratulations to the students who were brave enough to kick off our classroom karaoke this afternoon. Anyone who would like to give it a go will need to learn all of the words and work on presenting their song as a performer. This activity is a fun way of incorporating music, drama and literacy, not to mention a huge boost to confidence in a supportive and appeciative environment.BubbleShare: Share photos - Easy Photo Sharing
