BRING IT ON TOP SCHOOL!!

The first event we did was horizontal bungy. You have to run with a tyre attached to elastic. You have to run up a slippery water slide with soap to get the ball in the bucket at the end.

The second event was big foot where you have to put your feet into the straps that connected to the wood - then you have to try to walk to the end and put the hook on the wall then carry them back to start the next round.

After big foot was the rail way track where you’ve got to grab pipes just to make a track so the ball can roll into a hole in a wall.

Next was magic carpet. There are barrels with a square piece of wood on top that one pusher and one sitting person to hold the water are on. The pusher pushes the wood along the barrels while the others bring the barrels from behind to the front.

Cheerleading for Bethlehem School at Top Schools, Gate Pa.

On Sunday the 15th of March a group of Yr 6 kids went to Gate Pa school to compete in the Top Schools competition. Twelve of Bethlehem School's Year 6 children (6 girls and 6 boys) competed in the events and were cheered on by eleven enthusiastic cheerleaders and lots of hopeful parents!

The cheerleaders main job was to follow around the Bethlehem top schools team doing 4 different routines. Cheerleader Kerryn Friel said the day was really fun, especially dressing up in the cheerleaders outfits. Another cheerleader,  Brylee Courtney, was the keenest of all to scream so loud that the other teams would get distracted.

Then came the judges, who were two people from the cool bananas team, going around all the cheerleading teams to judge them. We had to do all 4 routines in front of them. At the end there was a prize giving for the best cheerleading squad. Sadly we did not win it but we had a really fun day!
