The New Classroom
Room 1 - or should I say Room 18 - has finally moved into their new classroom and has given Room 7 (now known as Room 1) their old classroom. The big move happened on the last week of school in Term 2. Our new classroom is a bit smaller but much warmer and not because winter is ending, but because we have a bigger heater and the same heater can be used as an air conditioner in the summer (very useful).
Our new classroom also has a deck around it so on a rainy day we can still eat outside. And for hand writing we now have a bigger white board to write on!
The only bad thing that I can think of is now the toilet is not right next to our classroom (annoying if you’re busting to go toilet) but other than that our class is almost perfection!

ROOM 18!!!!!
Recently the year 6 students that used to be in Room 1 have moved to Room 18. Room 18 used to be at a school in Taupo. It was moved up here by truck and was then refurbished. We moved in on the first week of term three. It took us a week to move in.
We now have a brand new heat pump, brand new carpet and brand new hessian on the walls. We have our own new veranda and deck. Our class overlooks the whole school field. We have three white boards and an interactive board. We have a library area with a couch. Our classroom is smaller than Room 1. The hessian is lime green and dark blue. We have settled in and it feels like we’ve been in Room 18 all year. We really enjoy our class much better than our old class room.

ROOM 18!!!
I like Rm 18 because everyone is settled. We can see out the windows to the field and we can watch everyone doing fitness. On pet day we even saw the little dogs and animals.
I like my desk, because I’m right next to the window. Its cool, because we have got a Heat Pump, so the classroom is warmer than our old classroom.
We’ve done Art, and on the wall, we’re putting up plates that we did painting on. The walls are lime green hessian carpet board and I like them.
I don’t miss anything about Rm 1, and I enjoy the carpeted deck with a roof on top just outside the room.
The location of the classroom is very good because we can hear everyone in the hall having fun. The Middle School kids seem to be yelling and doing cartwheels.
Inside our classroom we can’t see the teacher when she is sitting at her desk because she is behind us. She has all her stuff stacked up in front of her.
I’m glad we moved into Rm 18!
