Fractions With Room 9

Room 11 were fortunate enough to get together with teachers from Room 9 who shared their learning of finding fractions of a number of objects. Not only is teaching others an excellent way to deepen your own understanding, but the students had the opportunity to meet and work with others. The students spent time practising skills to improve their techniques with paint. These included holding a paintbrush correctly, painting a neat edge using the tip of the brush, producing an even coverage with paint and choosing colours to make the Kiwiana stand out against the background. These pieces of artwork have certainly brightened the walls of our classroom!Kiwiana Jandals on PhotoPeach
