On Thursday 3rd June we finally managed to have our cross-country for the Senior Syndicate – it had been postponed a couple of times already due to the bad weather!
It was a long but fun trek. We started next to a paddock in St.Michaels and continued on through the wetlands back round to the start – about 2 k’s.
First off were the Year 5 girls – Caitlin won this race – she was fast! Then the Year 5 boys were off – and Sam won this race. Then Year 6 girls – Rosie was the winner and finally Year 6 boys – Deon won this.
The top 8 winners from each race go through to the East Cluster to represent the school. This is held on Wednesday 9th June at Waipuna Park, Welcome Bay.
